Tell us about your business.
Balzac’s Coffee Roasters was founded in Stratford, Ontario in 1996, and has since grown to 17 distinct locations and can be found on the shelves of grocery stores across the country.
I joined the company back in June when I moved to Kingston to be with family. I have a passion for coffee, and I love working with people.
Why stop by Balzac’s?
We offer a great environment. Everyone who works here is friendly and positive. We want to create a place where everybody feels welcome.
What’s your favourite item on the menu?
We have an oatmilk cookie latte that is a holiday special, as well as a salted caramel latte. You can tell I have a bit of a sweet tooth.

In your own words, why is it important to shop local?
It’s crucial we support small businesses and independent shops. They work just as hard, if not harder, and they’re an important part of our community.
Personally, I love shopping at The Grocery Basket, one of our neighbouring businesses. The Elm Café has a great vibe and community feel.
